MatSu United FC (0-4-0) played host to the newest addition to UPSL's Last Frontier Conference over the weekend, in a two day double-header against Fairbanks SC (2-1-1) at Meadow Lakes Park.

Fairbanks' high-scoring duo of Matt Van Horn and Joey Van Horn were both on the scoresheet for the first game of the weekend, a closely-contested 2-0 win for FSC on Saturday evening.

Little more than 15 hours later, MatSu and Fairbanks met again in what would become a 1-6 defeat for the MatSu boys - with midfielder Elijah Hall bagging MatSu's goal in the game, his second of the season. The Van Horns were at it again on Sunday, with Matt scoring three of FSC's goals, while Joey was the player to open the scoring in the 26th minute.

MatSu United FC's goal tally for the season has improved after the weekend, moving to five goals for the 2020 season. The Black and Blue are still searching for their first win in UPSL, which they will look to secure when high-flying Alaska Timbers come to town on August 2nd at 2pm.
